Knowing The Right Time For Mowing Your Lawn

One of the most important tasks that homeowners must know about is lawn mowing. If you think that lawn mowing can be done any time that your busy schedule permits, then your effort may just be about 10% effective. There are only four hours in a day in which this task can be suitably done to truly benefit your lawn. This means that if you mow your lawn outside of these hours, you're really just wasting your time and your effort is not really doing the lawn much good.
There are best hours for the task in both morning and afternoon. For the mornings that you're free to mow your lawn, set aside the period between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. for the job, according to trusted lawn mowing service providers. Within these two hours, dew and reticulation have already dried completely, but it's not too hot out yet. Meanwhile, in the afternoon, schedule lawn mowing for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Between these hours, the outdoor temperature has already dropped; therefore, the cut grass will not get too stressed by the heat of the sun and it will have enough time to fully recover before night falls.
Now, the worst hours for lawn mowing are from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Why? Aside from being impractically early, the grass is wet with dew and nighttime reticulation. Lawn mowing is best performed in dry conditions because wet grass is not going to get cut easily even with newly-sharpened blades. Also, wet grass and damp soil may make the lawn mower pull out grass from the roots instead of cutting it at the recommended height. And lastly, it'll be difficult to cut wet grass according to the ideal height because instead of staying upright, some grass blades clump together and will most likely just bend at the pressure of the lawn mower.
You also need to know that wet grass and soil can clog the lawn mower and a clogged lawn mower is an ineffective lawn mower, and with the grass and soil wet, the lawn mower will leave ugly tracks on the lawn and there will likely be a muddy mess of grass clippings. Hence, it's important take note of these hours. And to add that, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. period is also not ideal for the task as nighttime is when the lawn is greatly prone to damage, such as the occurrence of fungi and other turf diseases. Seeking the help of lawn mowing experts is the best decision to get the best results.
